Huge Weekend for Virginia Tech Basketball

Two four star recruits will be in Blacksburg this weekend. Henry Coleman III, an native of Richmond, Virginia, and Xavier Foster, from Oskaloosa, Iowa, scheduled visits with Mike Young's staff a while ago. I would assume that the coaching staff would take them to the football game against Furman.

Coleman is a 6'6" power forward, who plays at Trinity Episcopal School. His father, Hank Coleman, played defensive line for the Hokies during the Frank Beamer era, which establishes a connection for the Hokies already. 247 Sports ranks him as the 39th overall player in the class of 2020, and the number 7 power forward. His commitment would be huge for Mike Young because it gives the first year coach a dominant inside presence for the next few years, something that the Hokies have struggled with in past years with the exception of Kerry Blackshear.

Foster is a seven foot tall center from Iowa. He is the 58th best player in the country for the class of 2020. The Iowa big man is announced earlier this summer that his top five schools were Virginia Tech, Iowa, Iowa St., Baylor, and Providence. Similar to Coleman, Foster would give Mike Young a dominant inside presence for the next few years.

Getting these recruits would be huge for Mike Young because they would prove to the country that he is a great recruiter and that Virginia Tech is going to be a force to be reckoned with in the coming years.
