Darius Maddox of St. Johns College High School has announced that he will be committing to the college of his choice today at 6pm. The four star shooting guard is ranked 75th in the country, and is from the Washington D.C. area. Maddox is listed as 6'4" and 180 pounds.
Maddox is predicted to head to Blacksburg according to 247 Sport's crystal ball predictions. He visited with Mike Young and his staff earlier this week. Maddox was scheduled to visit Georgetown this weekend, but that won't happen obviously, with his commitment coming today. Hopefully the proximity of this announcement and his visit is a good sign for the Hokies. This commitment would boost them into the top 10 in the 2020 class rankings.
